Genyukan offers instruction in Ryushin Shouchi Ryu IAIDO and Shotokan Karate-do under the leadership of Roman Pinkhasov Sensei, Dojo-cho (dojo chief, i.e. the man who runs the dojo ) Genyukan, meaning "Profound Brave School", is the name given to us by Utada Kancho.
Budo (武道,) is a Japanese term describing martial arts. In English, it is used almost exclusively in reference to Japanese martial arts. At the Genyukan Dojo, the traditional Japanese martial arts of Shotokan Karate-do and Iaido are taught, under the leadership of Roman Pinkhasov Sensei, for students ages 5 to 70+.

My son has been going there for almost 2 years and we are very happy. The Sensei is extremely patient with the kits and very knowledgeable. We couldn't be happier and have recommended the place to a couple of our friends and they are very satisfied as well. A+ all around
Excellent training for kids. My son is 4 years old and he loves it, so much that he even repeats the training by himself at home. The Sensei Roman is great, he makes the kids to focus and to give their best.
The best Sensei in Queens. The discipline being instilled to the youth and even adults is worthy of a black belt as well. The place is clean and well ventilated. i highly recommend this dojo to all ages!
